The Diploma of Sport (Coaching) equips students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to take on a range of roles in the Australian sport sector. Whether you’re aiming to coach, lead a team, or support a community sports organisation, this qualification provides a strong foundation for success.
Students will learn to work independently, manage and supervise others, and apply their skills in accordance with Australian legislation, standards and industry best practice. The course also includes key leadership and communication elements essential for working within dynamic sporting environments.

- Looking to begin or progress a career in the sport or fitness industry
- Changing career paths or entering a new sector
- Already holding a Certificate III or IV in Fitness and wishing to advance their skills
- Interested in pathways to higher-level sport qualifications
- Our students come from a range of countries. Some may be new to Australia, while others may have lived here before, either recently or in the past. This qualification is your stepping stone into the fitness industry, with no special licensing or certification required. You’ll follow Australian standards and industry practices to ensure you’re well-prepared for your career.

Course Details
This course has a duration of 52 weeks consisting of 4 x 10-week terms of training and assessment, each followed by a 3-week holiday break.
Each week of term includes:
- 2 x 7.5 hour days of face to face instruction
